As a historian and artist, the West has always inspired me; so I use my art to tell stories and remember what might have been. This page contains a gallery of artwork I’ve shared on my blog and will be updated periodically. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

  1. I love the idea of going deep into one subject, like writing a novel in images or virtual travelling. I’m all over the place, LOL, getting a multitude of ideas that I then can’t choose from or never get done. There is freedom in limitation it seems! And, well, anything with horses always goes well with me.

  2. I really enjoyed your blog – made me laugh. I completely relate to how you describe yourself and what you paint and I admire your frankness in showing us your sense of self in your images. These seem to me all to be self-portraits, which perhaps is what all good art is. Thanks for calling by on mine.

    • Thanks for such a nice comment – I never really thought of it quite that way – but I believe you are right. I enjoyed stopping by yours and plan to again.

  3. Trapper, I’m a big fan of western art (seen most of the Russell’s & Remingtons in Ft. Worth, and Great Falls) – your images certainly do justice to the genre. 🙂

  4. Greetings. I find ‘Family Gathering’ and ‘The Good Samaritan’ especially powerful images, but all amazing works of art. I’m a beginner artist, still learning my way around the palette, experimenting, finding the best medium. I’m Scott, nice to ‘meet’ you. I look forward to seeing what you come up with next! A good day

  5. My wife and I have been collectors of western American art for most of our married life and I like your work a lot. I wish I could do that but photography is as close as I can get. It’s wonderful that you’re following your dream. Your about page sounds much like my life too.

    • Thank you for your kind comments. I do love the American West, it’s history and art. There are some tremendous artists out there.

I’ve been checking out your photography and it’s stunning. You’ve captured some great and inspiring images. I’m looking forward to seeing more. It’s always nice to find a kindred spirit.

Make my day... tell me what you think!
